On our way to drop off Lizzy, Davie and Delphi at airstrip...

Howdie there from the cool airconditioned room of the Communications dude who sneakily allows me into his office to use his internet...
Have been kind of getting used to not having internet in my life, and altho I wish I had more of it, so I can feel more connected to my family and friends and the outer world, I am starting to appreciate that it keeps me in present time, makes me appreciate what there is here, gives me more time to play with my kids, read books, and not escape.... HOWEVER, if I had the choice, I would want to be able to connect from my laptop in my bedroom and not have to go up to the government station in the hope that the dude might be in his office...
Not much has been going on here really, besides a few weeks of water and power cuts due to lack of fuel on the island and the government failing to send boats over here with fuel and supplies for the island. there were even a few days that there was no transport for the kids to school, so most kids had to walk to school, sometimes more than 6kms each way. Lucky for Noah, Carl took him on the bike...
We had days of showering with a bucket and hand washing clothes which reminded me of my dark days in Itumuta, and days where we had to cook and eat everything we had frozen in the freezer, as the power was going on and off too frequently and we couldnt risk food going off, but then finally the boat arrived last week, and brought fuel, and supplies to the shops, so we are back to life in luxury...
The boat also brought Aggie back home, which is great to have another woman in the house, not only for the company but also for the help of running the house and feeding the working men, which makes my life alot easier and gives me a bit more spare time and space. YAY!!!!
Other than that, Carl is still cutting and milling Mahogany trees, they finished laying the floor of the front deck of the house and it is absolutely STUNNING! the timber is like a dream, and we can finally sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view, as well as get a feel of what it would look like when its all done.  There is still plenty work to be done, no where near completion, so we just gotta be patient, and enjoy the time we have here.

We celebrated Saulei's 4 birthday on the 2nd, with a treasure hunt and an Incredible Hulk birthday cake, which I stayed up late the night before decorating with a head torch shining my light on it, as the power was out. Not one of my best B-day cakes, but he was happy...
The kids have school holidays for 2 weeks at the moment, which is nice not to have to get up before the sun to prepare school lunches and breakfasts, and to have a bit of fun with the boys...
Carl is, as usual, working hard, loosing weight, and very focused on his mission.
So this is just a little sign of life, not much of an exciting blog today, but better than nothing.

Just wanted to say thanks to all you who have been commenting on my blog or via email, sorry I cant write to you all personbally, but I really appreciate and love your responses! keep them coming!!!!
Love to you all from all of us  xxxxxx
